PASS Chem Research

The SCRIBBLE research group recently developed and introduced the Platform Adaptable Strategic Solution (PASS) Framework [link to publication]. This website (PASS Chem) highlights how the PASS template was applied to first-year Chemistry to design practice problems with comprehensive student-centred solutions. A collection of general chemistry PASSes were compiled into a Pressbook (PASSchem) with Thompson Rivers University students (CHEM1500 and CHEM1510/1520) in mind.

This research project (Initial investigation of PASS Chem OER resource usage) is focused on collecting usage information on our OER resource PASSchem, which was developed to support student formative self-assessment when learning first year chemistry content.
